Evergreen Lodge in Yosemite with its secluded cabins is one of those rare gems in the U.S. national park system: perfectly located, well managed and great value.

The Atmosphere at Evergreen Lodge

The historic lodge is located just outside the western edge of Yosemite National Park and sits among the pine trees seven miles from the main road. Fifty of Yosemite’s most secluded log cabins are spread throughout the woods with the main lodge building in the middle. Well away from the crowds of the valley floor and just off the seldom traveled road to Hetch Hetchy, there is no better place to soak up the invigorating nature of Yosemite.

While you’ll of course want to spend much of your time away from Evergreen Lodge exploring the marvels of Yosemite National Park, it’s also the perfect spot to slow the pace and unwind. There is better place than the saltwater pool, hot tub and bar area set among the trees. You’re also uniquely placed to visit the Hetch Hetchy Valley and reservoir of the same name. It’s an off the beaten path corner with some great hikes as well as spectacular spring waterfalls.

Your Room at Evergreen Lodge

The secluded cabins are spread throughout the woods and each manage to maintain a private feel. Inside they are rustic but supremely comfortable. The one bedroom cottages have a little more space and a large deck for evening star gazing.

Need to Know About Evergreen Lodge

From the main dining room, the pool area to the old school tavern, you won’t go hungry or thirsty. Menus are hearty and healthy rather than fine dining, exactly what they should be in the wilds of Yosemite. You can pick up a picnic lunch at the lodge for your daytime adventures.
