Perched on a windswept bluff overlooking Mendocino Bay, this contemporary inn exudes rustic luxury and country comfort at every turn.

The Atmosphere

While the Brewery Gulch Inn is rustic and laid-back, the service and attention you’ll receive here is anything but that. It’s the perfect blend of modern California flair, housed in a sturdy, arts and craft style lodge.

The inn looks like it is part of the landscape and has been there for decades and, while the building itself is only fifteen years old, much of the lumber used to construct it, came from century old salvaged logs, giving it its weathered and authentic feel. It borders 48,000 acres of meadows and redwood forests, making it the perfect escape to get away from it all.

The heart and soul of Brewery Gulch is the enormous Great Room, anchored by an iconic fireplace. Guests can put their feet up in the oversized chairs with a glass of wine, play a game of cards, or dive into a book from the inn’s library. This is a place to simply to relax and take in your spectacular surroundings.

Your Room

The eleven generous rooms have cozy fireplaces and large windows framing incredible views out to sea or over the gardens. Our favorites have small decks or balconies.

Need to Know

Breakfast at the inn is a gourmet affair served in the Great Room and, while they don’t offer a full dinner menu, don’t be misled by what they call a ‘light dinner buffet’. Expect expertly prepared dishes using local ingredients, such as pepper-seared scallops, Moroccan lamb, Halibut Escabeche, Dungeness crab cakes, or mussel bisque.
