Windham Hill Inn is a charming luxury inn set in old farmhouse with sweeping views of Vermont’s Green Mountains.

The Atmosphere

Windham Hill Inn sits at the end of a winding country road that snakes up a hill in the Southern Green Mountains. From its lofty vantage point, the Relais & Chateaux member inn looks out over the rolling hills and woods of this quiet corner of rural Vermont. The main farmhouse, a red brick and white clapboard building, was built in 1825 and looks out onto a pretty gardens and a pond. Inside expect roaring log fires, antique furnishings and plenty of homely touches.

The inn is the perfect base from which to take leisurely day trips this corner of New England. Towns like Grafton, Woodstock, and Brattleboro are all within easy reach and are full of charm, history and culinary gems. Huge swathes of national forest cover this section of the Green Mountains just waiting to be explored on foot and nearby rivers, like the legendary Battenkill, hold plenty of wiley trout.

The Rooms

The twenty two rooms are spread between the main house, the white barn and a private cottage. The style is country-chic with tasteful floral prints and distinctive wooden furniture. The rooms in the barn are a little more rustic but in both cases no luxury is spared and most have deep soaking tub, fireplaces and private porches.

Food & Drink

The inn has its own fine dining restaurant that is a destination in itself and their hearty breakfasts are the perfect start to the day.
