A Note from All Roads North’s Founder

Venice Beach, California

March 26th, 2020

Dear Friends,

I hope that you, your family and friends are healthy and safe in these unprecedented times. In a matter of weeks our plans for 2020, our now cherished routines of daily life, and much of the world’s economy, have been forced into an unwanted hibernation. Here in California, as I’m sure many of you are, we’re adjusting to the new realities of life within four walls and are keeping our spirits up in new and ingenious ways. As our physical worlds have temporarily shrunk, it has never been more important to look up and connect with our wider family, team and community.

That travel, such an ancient, elemental urge, has effectively ground to a halt across the world has had a profound impact; from our clients, whose long anticipated trips have been affected, to our amazing partners across the United States and the globe; agents, hotels, guides, and restaurants. I want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone for navigating these stressful times over the past weeks with such understanding and good grace. It’s taken a shock of this magnitude to realize that we’re all in this together and I know we’ll come out of this with a renewed sense of what unites us.

When the fog lifts from this global intermezzo, and it most certainly will, the open road, empty trail or distant horizons will never have tasted sweeter. Here at All Roads North, the phone may not be ringing very often but we’re as busy as we’ve ever been; rethinking, dreaming, building, and generally getting ready to share those restorative travel experiences that I think we’ll all badly be in need of. We’re not going anywhere and it’s never too soon to dream, so please feel free to contact our team on +1 (310) 402-2031 to sow the seeds of a future adventure or simply indulge in a little light armchair travel.

To those of our friends out there on the frontline, working in healthcare or essential services, you have our profound gratitude.

My very best wishes,

Sam Highley
